This may be a funny one, but...

Has anyone tried a co-op regarding mealworms. I'm tired of buying from the larger chains around san antonio where they are $3.99 for 35 Super Meals. I'd like to breed my own but really think it would be too much, so I was thinking maybe a couple of people from the SA area would be interested in joining up so we have a constant supply for our pets. It would be cheaper since I'm not interested in making money and I wouldn't have a surplus of the buggers. Like I said, might be a horrible idea but thought I'd run it by you guys. Any imput would be appreciated.

Appologies if this is an odd question for my first post. I'm Jake, have two juvie Leo's.

That's not a horrible idea at all in fact it's probably already being done. Have you looked into a local herp society ? I'm not sure where SA is this is an international site I would guess San Antonio. I'm in New Orleans and our local herp society has regular meetings where one of the activities is placing of joint monthly feeder orders. They really aren't that difficult to breed either. I have just recently hatched my first batch of super worms almost by accident as I've read very little on the subject.
