Those plastic drawers

I know that those plastic drawers don't make good gecko racks because they can escape out of them. Has anyone make them escape proof? They seem to be so perfect for geckos.

The problem is that they are hard to heat. You can make them escape proof but then it makes the sliding not ideal. They also are pretty expensive also.
