Can you provide a ratio or something similar to the babies that come out fine and those that come out as spinners? I know its random and adults can just suddenly show signs but i wanna breed my TUG snow engima het bell to my striped super snow bell albino. It'll be her first time breeding so I'm expecting a majority to be infertile. My abosulte favorite morph is the bell snow enigma and My female is my favorite female in my group so i dont think there could be a single greater thing then to hatch out my favorite morph! I know its only like a 12% chace of the snow bell engima but I'm willing to try:D Ive bred SHTCTBs(and those with them) and snows so I do have a feel for breeding. My female shows 0 signs of the engima spin/syndrome, even under stress. And even tho its far off(im thinking feb-march) im just curious if anyone has the stats on hatching out enigmas with signs and without.

for the record im prepared to keep any babies that show signs and put down the ones that cant survive on their own. I know not everyone like's enigmas, please no hate in this thread.

So far out of 7 enigmas that I have hatched, I have 0 spinners and 1 with a strange head bob.

I have 3 that show 0 signs of enigma syndrome :)

wow thats actually really good! Even tho its just one answer, everyone makes it seem like you get like a 50/50 ratio of them. Others?

I see more issues with albino enigmas than others. I haven't hatched any this season with major issues. A couple may spin a bit when stressed, but they're fine once they calm down. They act normal when they're in their tubs. I do notice that they seem to stress more during shipping, but even then, they get back to normal pretty quickly. I did have a bell enigma that hatched who did the head tilt thing. I have a few adults who act perfectly normal and one who misses her food at times.

I see:main_thumbsup: Doesnt shipping in general stress any gecko? It really worried me since all you hear/see on engimas is the negative but it seems its not as common as I thought.

i havent tested this as such but ive heard that you get worse babies if you breed enimga x enigma. rather than an enigma bred to something else.

Yes, shipping stresses most geckos, but the enigmas tend to show symptoms when really stressed.
