Awesome! So if I get this, I have read that people put sand under their tiles, then place the tiles down. Is this necessary?

I don't mean to steal your post but is porceclain tiles safe? I doubt it is necessary to put sand under the tiles, not everyone does it.

I think porcelains are safe, but im no expert. The only reason I decided on the 100% stone tile is because its more natural, ya know?

I'm pretty sure porcelain is safe. I use it. Some people don't recommend it because sometimes it wont transfer heat well (depending on what kind you get). Luckily, mine has no trouble heating up to 91F. Whatever tile you buy, however, make sure you get something that's kinda rough so the leos have grip!

Also, regarding the sand thing, most people with slate tiles use some type of sand to even and level the tiles as some slates are cut unevenly. That's why I have porcelain because it's nice and flat on the bottom and there is no need for sand :)
