Time Between Clutches?

OK! This is my first time breeding. As much research that I've done in the last couple months I should be pro by the books, but not by experience. I've read everything from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, on the time between clutches. My female laid her first clutch on 3-23, unfortually it wasn't any good. She only laid one. This is her first season. But, she was also shipped to me gravid with her first clutch. So there a good possibility she got super stressed, and that may have caused my first to be no good. So when should I be expecting her to lay again? When should I start to get worried that she hasn't laid? I just have a pair of breeders right now, so they get all my attenetion. Plan on expanding next season after I get me some experience under my belt. I can see the well defined eggs in belly, two of them too. Just wanting some experienced input. I'm probally just freaking out because I'm too excited and anxious to get some eggs cooking, if you know what I mean. I've got the Leo Fever everyone on here talks about. Its a very addicting hobby, and I love it. All input will be great. Thanks in advance! :main_thumbsup:

I am a leopard gecko breeder and sometimes leos will lay eggs every 2-4 weeks as every female is different and just make sure tou provide her with a moist box and she should lay them when she is ready and you can tell when she is about to lay as they will go off there food a few days before laying there eggs so I wouldn't worry about her unless it's been a few days and she still hasn't laid as she could be egg bound and in that case you would need to get her to a vet ASAP as they can give her something to help her lay her eggs.

I have a couple who lay every two weeks. I also have one that takes a whole month in between clutches. So 2 weeks to a month is normal here. Most seem to be 3-4 weeks.

So no need to worry yet huh? I'm just an impatient rookie I geuss. Can't wait to get some eggs in the Hovabator, I guess that is my problem. Thanks for all the replies.

just had a female lay 2 clutches 11 days apart, and they both appear fertile, she has been a great baby maker this year

Mine still has yet to lay. She is very plump right now. Shefirst laid the 23rd on last month. So it has been 36 days and counting. Could she had dropped her first clutch early beings she was shipped during that time? Dropping early would make my time between clutches differ? Just a thought I don't know I'm a rookie learning more and more as I go. Thanks!

The longest mine have gone is a month. That's about how most of my girls look right before they lay though. They get very big in the middle and you can see the eggs on their sides.

I hope she lays soon.

:wall: Still hasn't laid. But she did dig out a big spot last night in her lay box. She moved all the coco fibre to one side. Hopefully I'll have eggs in a day or so. :help:

Digging is a really good sign. I hope all goes well. I'm sure in the next couple days you will be posting that you have another clutch cooking.
