Hi Everyone:

boy I have missed the forums and am glad to be back!! ;-)

I have a question.... I have a few geckos (leos) that need to gain a little weight. I have taken them all to the vet and all are fine (had col smears) and all is fine. Besides wax and the occasional pinkie, what else can I do to fatten up my leopards? These are adult and sub-adults.

Thanks!
Brandon

Make sure they're housed individually and feed the hell outta them. Superworms are higher in fat content than mealworms, so I'd make sure they're getting some of those.

most of mine won't eat supers and you may run into that as well. I've found best success with a varied diet when adding weight. Mealies as a primary and then adding waxworms, silkworms, and a crickets to spark their interest at times. I hear lobster roaches are great as well.

A good gut load will also help them add weight. Colby's pro-gutload has worked great for us.
