Time to leave male with female?

How long do you guys normally leave your males with your females? I have a male I need to introduce to about 4 females this breeding season and want to make sure I do it right. Thanks.

Different people do different things. Personally, I don't like to leave the male in with the female for long just because of the risk of stress or injury, so I usually introduce the male, let him do his thing and then take him out and return him to his enclosure all within 20 mins or so.

Great. Thanks for the reply. I might do that then. I want to be on the safe side. I'm guessing the first one's not ready because as far as I can tell they didn't breed. Been watching them for the most part since the introduction about 30 min ago. She definitely didn't seem that in to him and was avoiding him. She now has a battle scar and her leg is bleeding a little. She is a bit over a year old and about 50 grams. He on the other hand hasn't been weighed but I would say he is borderline giant. I hope she heals ok. It this fairly normal? I've watched several breeding events but this would be the first time I've seen one draw blood like this. I guess my next question is supposing he does breed: How long does it take him to recover and move on to the next girl?

Sounds to me like she isn't ovulating. Separate them until the female is ovulating and try again then.
