hey everyone!
so i tried to mate my geckos a while ago, it was unsuccessful. we were just trying it out, and we put the female in to the males cage, i guess this was mistake number one, because the female freaked out and rejected the male. i know there are a million posts about this, but i was just wondering if someone would let me know some basic tips that will make me successful in breeding my geckos?

Well, first of all, NOTHING is going to happen if the female is not ovulating. Period.

Here is a link to a good picture that shows what a female that is ovulating looks like from the outside: http://www.leopardgeckobreeder.com/ovulation.html

Also, depending on where you live, this is the "off season" for breeding. Unless it is very warm where you are, leopard gecko breeding season starts as early as January, and lasts through September...generally...but everywhere is different, as well as every gecko.
