Hey all! we have our BB male and female together. They are happy together in the same tank and don't mind sharing hides etc...is this ok to keep them together when the breeding season is over for now? He did try to breed her and she didn't want anything to do with him so he stopped.

It is best to keep the males and females seperate when not breeding, bc males can stress the females out when trying to breed when the females dont want it, and the females always have to fight them off. It is just more stress on the females.

Even when they are breeding it is best to keep them seperate bc the male can try and over breed her, and cause more stress on her when she has enough stress just being pregnant and laying eggs for months and months.

I haven't seen him try to breed her anymore. But we will have our rack system by next week(hopefully Sunday) so we will be able to seperate them when we get everything we need. :)
