We picked up some crickets yesterday. Asked for 2 dozen and they gave us over 100 I swear. I was thinking I would have enough for a week/week and half. Now they are probably going to last a month. Ha ha.

So how often should I be cleaning out their container?

I would just take the ones that die out, keep adding water and food, and take old food out. You are talking about the crickets container, right?

Yeah. I know they are stinky buggers. Didnt know if the container they are in should be cleaned out on a weekly basis or what. Don't want then to get sick and then in turn get my gecko sick.

Im not a fan of those cricket keepers they don't house enough crickets as to what we need and getting your hand in and out of there to change food and add water gel is a nightmare. since we breed dubia now we dont use crickets much but in the rare event i find crickets at a deal i cant refuse i use a 10 gallon tank with egg flat and or toilet paper rolls and just use plastic lids for food and water gel and to feed we just lift the TP roll up and shake it into the container to be dusted and then into the viv. hope this helps.
