Too much feeding?

Hello Forum

I have some questions about my gecko. I feed her every other day; 4-5 dusted superworms (and is always expeting more). She is about 1 year (as I was told), and yet she always seems constantly hungry. Just today she attacked the super so viciously she tore through the paper towel (to my amusement). Is she being fed enough, or is this normal behavior?

That's a lot at one time. She may be more satisfied with 2 every day. I've taken in adults that had been previously underfed and they wanted more more more, so daily feedings suited them fine.

I feed my adults 3 every other day and my juveniles that can eat superworms get 2 a day.

Yep. My boy is 11 mos old and eats 1-3 supers 3x a week. I think Laney had a good idea feeding 2 maybe 3 every day rather than a few times thru the week.

Hello, coment! I'm in the same boat. My almost 1 year old is always looking at me for food. I'm considering feeding her 2 large supers everyday, or 4 every other day. My girl is 49 grams, I believe. Also, I think your mediums should suffice for now. I guess we should be thankful to having geckos with such a desire to eat after reading all these threads on "my gecko stopped eating." Whew!

She would have no problem with large supers, and be happy for them at her age :) The med worms can easily be kept and grown up. If I tried to feed my troops mediums, they'd look at me and wonder what's next!

I think large might be easier for both of us. I can use less at one sitting, and she gets larger portions. Everybody wins!

Also, I started dusting every other day because feeding/dusting everyday seemed like too much.
