Hello Everyone........Goodmorning...

So i was reading some other thread about how much experience everyone had with reptiles n what not.... and i noticed that alot of people started this hobby at a respectable young age. ... . and i was just wondering if anyone out there thinks that there is a age where your "too old" to either start this hobby or you think youve been in this hobby too long and now your too old...?..

your never too old to fall in love! :D and i also don't think that you can ever be to old to do something you love, & that brings you joy. be that, this hobby, or any other!

I just got into reptiles a couple of years ago at the ripe old age of 38. I have to agree that you are never to old to fall in love with something as wonderful as reptiles. I figure if I ever have to be moved to a nursing home that doesn't allow pets then I am too old for them and will have to give them up!

I was 27 when I got my first herp and it quickly became an addiction and love that I didn't know that I had. I don't think you're ever too old or too young. My daughter was only 7 when she got her first herp and she is more responsible with him than most adults I know.

As long as you are able to take care of them, clean tanks,
and such, you are not too old.

Would you consider yourself too old to own a dog? A cat? They are living creatures, not just a hobby, and all you really need to "get into this" is the desire to love and care for them. I only have two leos, that I just got and I dont plan on having too many more.I think they are wonderful and you dont need a whole room full of them to be into it.So long as you can afford them and are physicaly able to provide the care they need, your in!

I sure hope there isn't an age limit. I didn't fall in love with Leos until I was 42...

I fell in love with Leos at the age of 9, got my first at age 11, but I agree with the other posters, Misty made a good point. You can never be too old to own a pet!
