I getting a leo for my birthday. I have all of the supplies : tank, lamp,calcium powder,ect. But my parents are divorced and i need to know how to transport him for summer break . IT is 12 hours to michigan and i dont want him to die. i would like any tips on transportation.:main_thumbsup:

Unplug his heater, put the gecko in a separate, safe container, and take it with the enclsoure with you!

what about dehydration will it take effect in 12 hours

Well, I ship geckos all over the country, and they are in boxes for up to 20 hours without any water. They all do just fine!

Also, the gecko doesn't need a heat lamp, unless you're in really cool weather. An under tank heater is much better to use.
