Transportation

Hi, I am moving later this week and will be taking my pets with me. It is only about an hour drive away, but for the safety of my pets, what do you recommend as the best means of transportation? I was considering dark containers inside the aquariums... so that they do not get crushed, and plug the UTH into my car to keep them nice and toasty... Sound like a solid plan? Any tips and ideas would be great. Thanks

I say: If its fairly nice weather outside (high 70's to mid 80's) roll your windows down and enjoy the drive. Box the leos in a container so that hey don't get bumped around too much during the ride and make sure to keep the container AWAY from direct sunlight as much as possible, direct sunlight can increase temperatures inside the container to dangerous levels. With that said, you should not have to deal with getting an inverter to supply power for your UTH, etc.

If the weather outside is colder turn on the heat inside the car or AC if its hot outside. Either way, maintain an inside car temperature environment in the high 70's to mid 80's and the will be fine for the brief drive. Don't complicate it more then you need to.

There will be no windows down for this car ride... rain and 7*c... I plan on still going skiing / snowmobiling this weekend haha.I will make sure they are kept in the dark and will stick a thermometer to my window to regulate the temp.
