Here is my Tremper sunglow. I was just wondering if he will stay such a bright solid yellow/orange. Many of the pictures I have seen of Sunglows are not as bright and I was wondering for anyone who has worked with these guys if it is likley for him to lose some of his color as he grows. He is about 4-5 months old. Thank you.

He is a tad bit more yellow than this picture shows but not much.

No but I should reword the question. Many Adult pictures of sunglows (like on google) they seem to be a different color then him so I was just wondering if as he ages if he will be more like those pictures. I don't know I am new to Gecko's, Sorry.

Most geckos do fade a bit as they age. Genetics can play a part in how much they fade and how fast. Care can also impact color a lot. If he is kept at temperatures that are too hot or too cold or doesn't get the nutrition or moisture he needs his color can fade dramatically over time. Of course, genetics can't really be changed but care can be and colors can be brought back.

To know how much yours will fade (or not fade!) you might just have to wait and see :)

He is an awesome boy! If you feel he's too bright for your taste I bet some one may be willing and able to help you and give him a home....haha

I guess it would depend on the gecko. But my geckos get brighter with age. You have a BEAUTIFUL gecko there so I don't think you should be worried about the color. Very nice colors on your guy!

Thank you for the info it really helps. I love his colors I was just curious as to what he will look like as an adult. I am really happy with him the way he is and still will be if he changes. :)

Thank you. I am very interested to see if he gets brighter with age. Ether way he is such a sweet heart, a bit of a spaz at times, but none the less. :main_thumbsup:
