Tricks to find eggs?

Have a pair of cresties that live together boy and girl. Wondering if there are any tricks to know if the female is going to lay or has layed in a natural tank set up. Will she change habits? Will she stop eating? Perhaps bulk up in the tummy? No clue what to look for. Just noticed my boy has been cleaning himself proper lately a lot more then normal.

Put a lay box in there. When she is gonna lay she will start digging for a day or more. You may catch her frequenting the same spots so you may check in those spots for eggs. I gave all my natural vivs a lay box eventually because I got tired of tearing up my viv looking for eggs. Just my advice
