Hey guys :(

Well my leopard gecko Lily had some stuck shed on her toes. I did what was recommended, put mineral oil on it and tried to take it off gently with tweezers.

Now she wont eat :(

Before she would eat whenever I put food infront of her, now she doesnt even look at the mealworms

what should I do? should I not attempt to feed her for like a week or two then offer again?

She hasnt eatten for about 5 - 7 days now

It could just be residual stress from helping her to get the stuck shed off. I'd keep offering food on a regular schedule as you have been like she was eating and she should snap back once she destresses. I wouldn't do much handling of her the next week-ish just to make sure she depressurizes. Also offering food by hand (tweezers) insted of in a dish might be more enticing to her as well. More movement from your bugs should stimulate prey drive from her. If all that fails, are you sure you didn't hurt her at all restraining her to deshed her toes? I know, long shot but just kinda reaching here.

thanks, ill offer her food normally.

I think there is a chance that I may have hurt her toe while doing it, but nothing major. I think I may have just slightly pinched her :( but nothing like broken bones or anything

Yeah... I had to deal with stuckshed, well actually still am dealing with, on my leo this tiem around too. 5 toes and the end of his tail. We got the toes right but the tail is still a work in progress.

If you keep her schedule up to normal, that's 1 less change to stress her out. If she doesn't eat for say 2-3 weeks and you're noticing a marked weight difference it might be time for a vet visit just to make sure there's nothing else going on.

Good Luck.
