yes a lay box, the lay box was in exactly the same spot where they ended up laying the eggs, one was mouldy which i assume was a bad egg the other was just very battered and i didnt know what to do with them so i just took them both out as they both looked in a bad way

Leo's are easy to breed when you compare them to other reptiles, it doesn't mean it's easy for every one to do though. A LOT of people don't realize the work that goes into breeding.

If the eggs were laid in an un-heated area and they looked "deflated" then the eggs were not fertile to begin with. But you said one had mold on it. That sounds like it was in a moist area for atleast a few days. Either the egg was infertile or the egg was too moist and that is why it molded.

-What are you using as a medium (substrate) for the lay box?

-Do the females realize they can climb in it? (I had to put my females in the lay box a few times before they realized what it was. After that they have been using it non stop.)
