tub gap!

ok i am building a couple of racks..my questions is on my hatchling rack i have about an 1/8th of inch gap between shelves is this too much of a gap?

I wouldn't either.....you would be surprised how they get out. They can be sneaky.

Maybe you could use plexi to seal the gap. A little sumo glue and you are good to go.

what about my adult rack 1/8th inch gap is that going to be ok?

i put sticks in my homemade tank so my it holds the cover up about 1/8 inch and my leos never escaped, and they can climb it because its wood. Well, one did escape once but that was because i didnt cover the top fully with the cover and left like man inch gap in the corner. Now i triple check to make sure it is on all the way

I space my tubs with a 1/8th thick sheet of particle bourd when building the rack.

We made a small gap in ours and we've had five geckos get out. lol. So I would say make no gap or the 1/16th gap.

An adult will probably not escape with a 1/8" gap, but the little ones can make themselves really flat and squeeze through stuff you wouldn't imagine!
