Do you drill vent holes into your tubs? I just ordered my first rack which comes with tubs and flex watt. I see pictures and there is definitely a split of what I see between drilled and not drilled. My rack uses lidless sterilite tubs.

As many opinions as possible would be great!

if the tubs are airtight with the shelf, then you need holes. but if there is a gap between the top of the tub and the shelf above it, no holes needed :)

I feel most racks need holes to maximize fresh air flow and circulation. I have Animal Plastics Iris 375 racks and hatchling racks from cserpents. The hatchling rack needs holes. I keep 6 bins with no holes for newly hatched geckos and the rest have five holes drilled on the front and back. I noticed a lot of condensation inside the bins around the geckos water bowls and it made me feel that the water wasn't evaporating well enough and I didn't want to cause respiratory issues. The AP rack is better but I still like the geckos to get as much fresh air as possible so I currently have 9 holes drilled in the front and back of each 15qt bin and a few more drilled in the larger bins (I didn't count while I was doing those tho). All of the holes are 3/16th size.

I have holes in all of my tubs, even the hatchling tubs. I find that even the racks with a slight gap at the top need more ventilation than the gap allows.
