What kind of tubs do you guys use for your racks? I don't have a rack, but I just bought a normal bookshelf to use to put my leos tanks on and I assembled it today and found it only fits one 10 gal and my 20 gal, it isn't quite tall enough for another 10 gal like I had hoped it would be. I am getting another gecko soon and was hoping to use my extra 10 gal that I have not being used, but I wanted it to fit on thhis shelf. Since it doesn't, I was thinking I could use a shoebox or something to house the little guy in. First off, can I use a UTH on a plastic tub? I just bought one for the tank, but that was before I got the bookshelf and thought about using a tub. What is a good size tub to use?

Thanks in advance!

There are many places to order from online. BUt i found it easier to buy a few from target. Measure the size you need, then go to target and find a tub that fits the rack.

i use mostly rubbermaid 6 and 12 quart tubs because they used to be readily available. sterilite and iris also make tubs. the iris tubs are really nice because they dont have grooves or indents where poop gets stuck in making them easier to clean. Kirk

Thanks you guys...I know I had asked a similar question already, but I just wanted to know what would be the best size. But can I use a UTH on one of these? That's my main question, because if I can't use it then I will just stick to using the 10 gal tank I was planning on using in the first place and just put it somewhere else.

I use IRIS tubs because they are very clear, they have more vertical sides than Rubbermaid or Sterlite (less wasted space), they don't have an grooves around the bottom where feces and feeders can get stuck, and they have little stand-off feet so the tub doesn't sit directly on the heat source.

But what do I do if I don't have The Container Store :p ? Because I don't have one, and have never heard of one. Do you think they maybe sell them somewhere else? I'm in the process of searching online right now.

Thanks Paul! I found a few that are around me! Great link :D !

And thanks everyone else for the links...I would order one, but I am going to need it soon, so I don't have time to order one at the moment.
