Turning Temp up after two weeks

I read that the first two weeks of incubation determine the sex of the hatchling, and after that you can turn up the temps to get lighter coloration in the hatchlings. Has anyone tried this? Has the incubation time decreased as a result?

The first 3 weeks determine sex but most i know that do raise temps wait until week 4
