Two eggs crushed :(

I was bummed yesterday. We've been waiting and waiting for my female to lay her eggs (she's Tremper something-or-other... I'm not even sure what!) and dad is the hypo tangerine. She laid them in the vermiculite perfectly, but then trucked in so much sand, which became damp, and they collapsed. I know, I know, the sand is going.
Sigh... I'm so heartbroken!

I feel your pain, dont worry though, get your setup done in a safer way and hopefully two weeks to a month she'll lay another clutch

I hate it when that happens. A few weeks ago I went up to Seattle to watch a Mariners game, when we got back that night I found that my APTOR had laid, then crawled on top of the eggs and crushed them. :main_angry:

Thanks... I bought stone this time for the tank, and I'm placing two new containers of vermiculite, but I'll be putting the openings for them higher and they will have to climb rock to get in.
I've shyed away from stone before because of the cleaning. I'm hoping my leos will continue to poop in the same spot on paper towel.
