Two Females

I have two female leo's together in a 10 gal tank and their both about 6 1/2 ". The one is a tad bit fatter than the other. When i put them together the little girl started nipping at the bigger one. She only did that once and now their just licking each other..... Im really worried that they might not like each other and ill have to get another 100 dollars for a new cage and setup

that sux... if u dont wanna spend the money you could try selling/giving away one of em.

i hope mine dont do that, ima get a pair of females (sisters) next week prob

licking each other is ok, they are just tasting each other to get to know one another just keep an eye on them for more bitting and make sure both of them are getting food and water. A ten gallon tank will work for a short time but they will run out of room fast if they are already that size

If you can keep an eye on craigslist you will be able to find a bigger tank for a good deal. A 20 long or standard 30 would be good for them. You may be able to find some accessories there as well, like a UTH.

i'm getting 2 sisters real soon. they're too young to sex (from what i can tell) but i hope they get along.

if they don't i'll just have to sell one, hopefully all will be well and they'll get along and wont be too upset when they meet my beardie

Do you mean that they will all be housed together?

yes. 2 females (i think female temp sexed that way as far as i can tell) will be housed together in a 20 gal with tile substrate and a UTH

awww heck no!!! the beardie is like 20 inches. she'd eat 'em while they slept lol

if they're housed together at the breeders house do youthink i can introduce them to the same tank at the same time?
