Don't lose hope just yet. One of my Leopards was lost for almost 6 months.. on TWO different occasions. I work at a pet store and a customer told me of their Leo being gone for TEN months. Both of ours came back healthy. A few grams lighter but not emaciated by any means.
What the Leo is probably doing, is because it's winter, and without belly heat either, it's probably sleeping somewhere cold and dark. Hidden from view. It may find spiders and stuff to eat but yes I'd say that there is still a good chance he/she is alive.
she was only 3 months old. she had a thick tail and had a good appetite for a little one. so she is pretty bulked up. hopefully that will last. i just hope she didn't fit into the vent. it looks a little small for her but who knows what they could squeeze into. she got out on a thursday night, and i rearranged the furniture in my bedroom the next day, she wasn't under anything. I ripped apart my closet, looked in my shoes and nothing. so i know she is def not in my room. could she have gotten that far in one night?
You just have to have hope! I'm sure she is still alive and going strong and probably looking for you! Just keep looking. Dont give up on the little girl.
misdragonxo, I too have a run-a-way since Wed. You would be surprise on how small of a space they can squeeze through. I left her sliding glass door open maybe 1/2 inch, just enough room I guess. I have turned everything upside down, even opened the couch bottom to peek in there. I am sure she is looking right at me as I am searching for her. I sat up all last night with a flashlight just waiting for her to scamper across the room. Her tank mate is chirpping for her which will bring her in the right direction when she decides to come back home.
All we can to is wait and pray. This is so hard and heart wrenching knowing they are out there...alone. Keep us posted!
Kathy less one for now
