I think this is normal, but it's the first time I've seen him do it. When I first saw him, he was licking himself the same way that an animal licks its injury, so I was worried, but his bits seem to have gone back in from where they came. Is he just giving himself a bath, or is this a sign of mating?

Um, either hes cleaning himself because he just did some seriously huge pooping or humping, or your baby just had a prolapse and hes soothing it in his own way. If you notice that pink part not going back in, quickly switch him to damp paper towels in a sterile tank or tub, and give him a nice good soak in sugar water or water with light or regular corn syrup for a good long time, 30 minutes - 2 hours. If it doesnt pop back in you need to go see a vet. DONT TRY TO PUT IT BACK IN, ITS NOT SAFE FOR YOU TO DO THAT.

Thank you for the response. I believe it went back in before I finished creating that post, but I'm going to feed them pretty soon, so I'll check on it then.

Thanks again,
Kris

You ought to check asap. Since theyre on an eco-earth like bedding it could get stuck and jammed in his vent when it goes back in or even before.

Yep, everything looks looks normal. He wasn't too happy with me trying to hold him upside down, but there wasn't anything hanging out.

Thanks again,
Kris

He just finished breeding. That is normal, he will keep it out for a while and clean it.
Also He's a nice one:main_thumbsup:

Cool! Should I start looking for eggs in my female's belly?

Thanks,
Kris

Is this her first time breeding? If it is then it will be another 2-3 months before she lays her first clutch. The eggs are harder to see inside on cresteds, they're not like Leopards where you can see the white spots. When they start developing you can feel them.
