One of the new members here was talking to me in the chatroom and (s)he cant post yet, but has a 29g female hatched on June 5th of '08. She has been looking fat now for about 3 weeks and the owner can see the eggs forming now. The gecko is eating about a dozen 3/4" crickets every other day. Any advice is welcome, this little gecko needs all the help she can get. She is in a 90g tank with the male but is being put in a separate tank today.

Please respond!

I would say get her on the slurry quick, feed her as much as she can, maybe a couple of waxies, but not much. Mealworms pack on weight more than crickets, in my opinion, and supers are even better, but she's probably too small for them yet. Keep the stress low, and maybe start saving up if you need to bring her to the vet for any reason. When it shows that she's about to lay(can see the eggs really clearly), maybe give her a lukewarm bath to help her pass the eggs.

I would start her on liquid calcium if possible. We had a rescue that was very underweight that was gravid and the vet had us start her on liquid calcium. We also fed her a couple of times a day. Anytime she would eat, I fed her. She ended up laying 8 eggs and only 1 was fertile. At that time she was about 30 grams, I believe. She is 95 now and healthy as a little horse. I hope your friends little girl does well also.
