Well, tonight I go to feed my turtle some meal worms. I had run out of mealies so I had been feeding him the alien looking things(he loves them) that come from the meal worm. Keep in mind I had no plans to breed mealworms as of yet they just started changing. I stopped a while back putting them in the fridge. So I leave them out. Well, I fed Pistachio three of the alien bugs and was searching for more. Well I came across a beetle. I was amazed and shocked because they have nothing but the bedding they came in from the store. No potato or carrots or anything. I have been toying with the idea of breeding and had some wheat bran on hand. I removed the beetle and put him in a bin with the bran and some potato. My questions are will this singular beetle produce offspring by himself? Can I get more mealies and put them in with the beetle or will he eat them? And finally does anyone find this as strange as I do. I thought it would be more difficult to breed than this.
P.s My turtle already ate the other aliens so he will be the only beetle for a while .
