I have had my leopard gecko for a few months now. His behavior has changed. He eats less and lays inside his moist hide 24/7. I have recently put peat moss in his moist hide for substrate. I felt his belly and its not hard so I dont think he is impacted. He has is regular in his pooping. His temperatures are right. Does anyone elses gecko hide all day and pretty much all night? I hardly ever see him out unless I get him out or lure him out with food. Any responses would be helpful, thanks.

Our first gecko we ever purchased who we still have does the same thing...She never comes out of her humid hide unless pooping or unless we put crickets in her tank. I wouldn't worry too much unless he/she stops eating or pooping

What exactly are your temps, and how do you monitor them? This may be just what Wendy was saying, but I would double check your temps to be sure. If something is malfunctioning, then that could easily effect your gecko.

On his hot side the temp is 89-94 (in hot spot)....on his cool side75-80. I use a digital therm to monitor them.
