Hi everyone,

I posted ealier in the week about getting a sick gecko from my stepbrother. well she is doing better...her mouth is drying up and looking better and shes eating again however I think shes going to lose a couple of toes...im bathing her nightly but the skin is not coming off. My question is...is it normal for her to make a quiet clicking noise occasionally?

Thanks

Anitbiotics I believe, just like humans. Ok I read a little more about it... usually caused by low temperatures and/or excess humidity. So lets find out what the temps are in your set up, hot side and cool side.
And lets slow down on the baths. Leo shouldnt need an entire soak if it is just the toes that are affected so work on the shed with moist cue tips and whatever other shed aid you are using.
In minor cases, which yours does sound minor, fixing the temperature should result in recovery. If it gets worse like blowing bubbles or labored breathing, breathing out of the mouth. Then a trip to the vet is needed.

Hello,

I am getting the temps up now they were 86 pn warm and 68 on cool....She is laboring her breathing a bit but she also has a horrid mouth infection that I am treating. No blowing bubbles or anything so hopefully getting the temps up and moisture down will do the job...I cant take her to the vet until monday..should I give her some amoxil or something?

Thanks

I wouldnt unless you are 200% sure how to dose it... lol
Just work on temps for now. 90F is what you are aiming for on the hot side.
Good luck and I hope she feels better soon!
