well here is an update let me know what you all think. Bogie has opened both eyes completley every time i pick him up or run water over his eyes or toes. lol so in other words when i make him mad. according to the vet it will be at least 3 week before he is able to hunt with his eyes. Is this accurate? i really hate force feeding him. here is another story, i went to a locally owned reptile store that speacializes in only reptiles. I asked for hemostats and they were like why??? i explained im force feeding and i had to return the pair i was using to the vet. they told me that i was doing it all wrong and that if i had to do it to use really blunt plastic tweezers, then they told me to just get this stuff called Jump-Start made by Zilla and only feed that by putting that on his nose to lick off. well that would make things a lot easier... as it is now, when i put a cricket in his mouth he spits it out, and when i try meal worms he acts like it hurts him, the worm i mean. so i only do crickets but this jump start would be much easier...is this true that i can do the jump-start instead of crickets? plus him and his wife told me that my vet didnt really know what she was talking about. by the time i left i felt like i was doing everything wrong and that Bogie was surely going to die, i hate force feeding him becuase i feel sorry for him. I need to know what to do and how long will it take for his eyes to open up enough for him to feed himself? this whole world of reptiles is confusing and everyone says something different. what should i do?
P.S. one of his toes is going to be amputated becuase by the time me and the vet got the shed off, it had the circulation cut off to it by the looks of it a very very long time. it was already dead and black. poor Bogie...i just want him healthy and eating on his own, i just feel so sorry for him.
