Beautiful geckos.
Wouldn't Daisy (your Tangerine) be considered a SHT though.
Super Hypo Tangerine, I think they become classified that with less than 10 body spots, and I am only seeing about 4 or less. :D

Thanks guys ^__^

Amanda_ols, Daisy was my first REAL leo.....the other ones i had before all came from pet chains and all died of sickness :( I had bought 2 them one died and i bought another one and the first one died then bought a 4th and they both died :( although, back then i didn't know anything about leos......but since my time on here, compared to what i knew before I'm a professor :main_laugh: I thank everyone for all the help they have given me and for the knowledge I have now to keep my geckos fat and healthy ^__^(maybe some day outweighing Osiris :main_laugh: ;))

Jeez do pet shop geckos have a high mortality rate or something? Sounds like it. And I agree with you about this forum. I've learned a lot so far, and haven't even been a member for very long.

Thanks guys ^__^

I believe it has something to do with being sold to the store at a very young age and not having the proper care. Most of the chain petstores don't take very good care of their leos(ex: not cleaning the tank very often, WAY too small enclosures for the # of leos inside, etc) I say this out of personal experience stated above, but not all pet chain stores are like this. I have run into one close to my house that has improved dramatically and doesn't have pin-tail geckos anymore. But because of the reasons stated above, the geckos do have a lesser immune system and are prone to disease from bad living conditions and malnutrition and dehydration.......I was one of the unfortunate ones to not know that they were unhealthy....the vet did nothing to help...she had me TUBE FEED one of my leos......she regurgitated and died about a week later.......she also said 2 of them were healthy...they had PIN-THIN TAILS and freakin NO APPETITE and weighed 4.5 GRAMS if THAT much!!!!!!!! :main_no: I don't think she was really specialized for reptiles......

Wonderful Leo's!
I agree with the pet store thing, there are some good ones out there and some bad ones.

We had a GREAT pet store a few months ago, they took great care of their reptiles and knew what they were doing. They had their tanks in a room where you couldn't go in without permission so no tapping on glass, etc.. Now we have a chain pet store and it put them out of business, and now I have to get my pet supplies from the only pet store in town and I have to look at baby leo's stuck in tiny tanks on sand, with temps too cold and no places to hide or cool off but in full view of every customer that decided to tap on the glass, basilisk lizards a foot and 2 feet long in tiny cramped 10 gallons, it's enough to drive a person crazy.
Sadly enough, my mom got me a baby leo from their even though I tried to tell her it would only make them buy more, but no one was going to get him because he is growing back the tip of his tail, and he was the last one, so she convinced ME to get him, haha. I'm hoping he turns out okay, so far, everything is great. It's hard for me, every breeder I've tried to talk to refuses to ship to Alaska, I've only had luck getting my baby Tiger Sal. shipped up here, and he was almost dead when I got him, but those...numbskulls, for use of a better word, promised to pack him with a heat pack because its -20 up here, and they DIDNT! He was almost frozen when I got him, but thankfully, he survived and is growing fast!

I'm pretty sure they were a less then reputable company, so obviously didn't care about shipping it 20 some hours to Alaska, when it comes to good breeders, I can't find any that want to ship their cute lil fragile babies all the way to Alaska.
