Update on the Admiral (from 2 and a half years ago)

I know you all don't remember The Admiral but I thought I'd give an update on him anyway. I don't regularly post but I do look around here when I need information, I don't really have anything to say so why say it!

Ackbar is 3 years old now. Healthy, finicky, big. You can't really tell by the picture but from head to tail he more than occupies the letters portion of my keyboard, he's on a diet of calcium sprinkled meal worms. Took him off crickets when he started to grow because I read in a few places that they don't really need crickets when they have access to the worms because the worms offer better sustenance. Anyway, here he is, King of all the Geckos (in this house anyway) Admiral Ackbar. Someone said he might be a giant but I think he's just a healthy sized Leo.

I've not been on this forum long enough to remember him, but he looks great. He looks like he knows of his royal standing.

He's had his own 20 long for more than 5/6 of his life. If you put something free standing in his habitat he knocks it over. There's a totem that I have always had in there and if I stand it up, no matter how I prop it up, he finds a way to knock it over. Loves to hide in his cave, so much that you can almost say he hates coming out of his cave. Which I respect, keep the food bowl next to the entrance so he can feel comfortable all the time. He makes it out for light and water when needed. I'm not concerned with this behavior, they're non social cave dwelling animals, having a cave that he can call his own that he never has to leave is probably something wild Geckos dream of. I'll post pics of his habitat tomorrow.
