Just wanted to give an update on my now full-grown firewater cross I purchased last year. I think she's very pretty and I'm excited to use her next season. I can't seem to get her to put on the weight I want, or I might have used her this season. Hopefully by next season I'll have finally gotten her to put on weight.

Do you happen to know what the other aspect of the cross was? I only ask because I just crossed mine to an (Atomic x G project) Rainwater eclipse, so am curious to see what the little lads will turn out like

Her parents were a Gecko Genetics line tang x pure Firewater and a Gecko Genetics line tang x Tang Rainwater (Sykes line) =). So I guess when I say cross, it's more a third generation thing. Not half Firewater, but a quarter. It's just more convenient to say that than write all that out. I suppose it would be more accurate to call her a GG tang cross. But eh. She comes from some pretty sweet lines regardless.

Myself and her breeder expected more orange from that cross, so he suspects she is hiding some great tang genes somewhere in her genome.
