i have been incubating an egg for now 40 days and today when i checked the egg it looked slightly dented. when i picked it up to check it slime was pouring down from it, when i began to look closer i noticed a small slit in the egg at the bottom. so my question is, 1 is the baby hatching and 2 should i keep the slit facing down?

I'm not sure what's going on with your egg. What I'd do is put it back in the incubator and check in on it occasionally. Make sure you lay it back in the substrate the way it was originally.

yeah i dont think it should have been picked up but i will leave it be i was just worried never actually see a slit on the bottom of the egg but always on the ends of the egg. this is my potential patternless albino enigma and i really hope it hatches, but for the most part you guys think it is hatching?

If you are temping high for males.
Times up and Its probably trying to get out. Let it be.
Take care. May your Hatch be good. HJ
