URGENT: Sprayed Room Freshener in Leo's Tank

When I was changing the paper towel, I decided to freshen the bare bottom of the cage before I clean it next weekend. I didn't think it would be dangerous, since Mrs. Meyer's ingredients are 94% naturally derived, but when I put Leo back in his tank he started walking against the walls and overall behaving a lot more active than usual. Licking the air, restless, etc. until he crawled into his log on the cool side, also unusual. I'm concerned that it may not just be the smell that's bothering him, but a chemical. Here are the ingredients:

Water
alcohol denat.
Fragrance
PEG-40 Hydrogenated castor oil
trideceth-9

Is he in trouble?

I really can't say for sure, but you should never spray anything like that in a reptile cage. They make special cleaners to get rid of the smell in the reptile section. I would most definitely wash his tank out as soon as possible with hot water. :)

K the cage has been cleaned with dish soap and hot water. There is a dish of non-d3 calcium in his area, but he won't eat insects unless they're plain! How do I get the vitamins inside him??

Try mixing a little in his water, and just don't put a lot on his food. And you could try different brands of calcium too, maybe he just doesn't like that one, lol

If he gets hungry enough, he will eat dusted bugs too. That being said, I love Repashy Calcium Plus because it contains all sorts of vitamins with calcium and D3 in the right balance AND because it smells good. My lizards really love it.

Pure calcium is the safest, as too much D3 could be dangerous.
I've watched my boy lap up calcium from his dish a few times. My oldest girl is a brat and makes a mess with it.

I think Flukers makes a liquid vitamin booster without D3 that can be mixed in with water, you could try that too if it likes to drink more.

I'd guess that it was the fragrance which bothered him originally. Probably overwhelmed its sense of smell, as some of those can linger quite a while and be rather concentrated.

He HATED the Flukers liquid on feeders, spat out the worm as soon as he tasted it. Idk if the water would be any better since I never see him drink anyway. I want to try the Repashy stuff, though. Hope it works. Also he likes Dubia roaches

Repashy has worked well for lots of owners, myself included. Takes out a lot of the alternating, it does smell really nice too!

About to place an order for 3 Oz of Repashy, then I saw some Chlorhexidine. Is that really necessary if I only have one gecko and I plan on washing his cage once a month with soap and water?

Soap and water will be just fine. Chlorhexidine is really nice for deep cleaning, sick leo's and/or multiple cages. You can certainly get it if you want, but doesn't have to be immediate, or at all if you prefer.
