i read that you arent supposed to, but if you can use heating tape or cable, i dont find a problem with it. but i am no expert on that.

I have a mini heat pad on a tub and I have had no problem for a couple of months now. The only thing is it loses its stick.

yea i have had no problem either minus losing its stick but just use some duct tape and put it back on there lol. Also of course make sure to use a dimmer/thermostat to control the heat output.
