UTH overlaps 15 gallon

I've got a 15 gallon tank 24"x12"x12" and I ordered the Medium size Zoo Med heat mat 8"x12" .
The heat mat is actually going to be longer than the tank and if I turn it the other way, length wise, it will cover half the tank.
I was worried the Small would be too small:main_lipsrsealed:
Is it ok if the UTH overlaps the tank or should I just get the smaller size?

if its returnable I would do that....save yourself the trouble of having to buy another one without being able to return the one that doesn't work.

I have a 20 gallon 30x12x12 and I use that medium heatpad you got for mine. That's too big for your tank, you best get 1 size down.

Ok I was able to cancel my Amazon order. I placed another order for the Small size.

Good call - you want the UTH to only be on one side of the tank and only up to a third of that side.

The reasoning behind this is so that if your Gecko needs cooler temps - he/she can move from that one third "hot" side (that is directly above the UTH) to the medium hot side (just off from the UTH) to the cooler side (completely off the UTH).
