Uth paper removal?

I just bought a new exo terra heat pad for my leo and I was wondering, im using tile, in a melamine enclosure, do I need to remove the adhesive paper?

I would take the adhesive off, but get a thermostat to regulate the UTH. I hear melamine gets pretty hot.

I found something recommended on a python forum that worked really well for me this past month. I removed the paper adhesive and covered the sticky side with aluminum tape, sticky sides together. Then, using some duct tape I was able to create a temporary solution so I could remove the UTH if need be.

So far I haven't seen any issues pop up with the tapes failing or the UTH overheating; however, I do use a lamp dimmer to adjust temperatures accordingly.
