well my female mack snow laid her eggs this morning...but she laid them not in her lay box but in her water dish....i took them out and put them in the incubator but why did she lay them in her water dish instead of her lay box i mean i put moisture in it the night before..did i do something wrong?

i've had females do the same thing with perfectly moist humid hides right next to them. i would definitely incubate them, but i've had some that didn't hatch, and i have a couple right now actually that were laid in water that are close to hatching.

I'm assuming the giggle was because the gecko laid the eggs in the water bowl, I'm sure there was no ill intent behind it. I've heard of geckos doing this when their eggs are infertile but I'm not sure.
