UVB to Brighten Colors?

Sorry if this is a repeat thread (quick search didn't show anything), but I was wondering what everyone's opinions were. I've read that UVB can brighten the colors on a leo. I just put a UVB light on mine (I know they don't need it, but I had it and wasn't using it). I haven't noticed any change, though it's only been on a few days. Does anyone have a theory on whether or not it's true or have any experience with it? If you put one on, did you notice a change or no?
