Vermiculite after being moisted should weight..?

Hello, I've read that your vermiculite box should weight 8 times more after being missed enough. Isn't this wrong? Sounds completely crazy... When adding 3 times more there's already little too much of water!! So let me know how you think it should be. Thanks!

Geckos don't need vermiculite in a shed box. Moist paper towels work just fine and are not as messy.
