Is Sta-Green a good brand of vermiculite to use for egg incubation? I bought the bag of it at Lowes and it doesnt have any fertilizers or anything like miracle grow does. Also it is a fine grade of vermiculite.

Mine is also a fine grade of vermiculite (probably the same brand, I think that's where I bought it). It's been fine. The only problem I have with it is it sticks to freshly laid eggs and it hard to get off because it's so fine. So my eggs look dirty. I use it both in the lay box and the incubator.

For the lay box I like to use Peat Moss (non-fertilizer)
