Heres the problem, i have a first year male that is very aggressive towards females when he tries to breed. Most times he doesnt do the tail shaking or back nibbling, he just bites the female. This usually leads to the female biting him back and i separate them. Any suggestions? Another breeder said try lowering the temps a bit so i dropped his to around 87f.

Are you sure the female is ovulating? I have a male that only tail shakes once in a while and bites first most of the time. If the female is ovulating she usually just lets him do his thing.

I would think the problem is more with the female being ready but I couldn't be 100% sure.
