Very interesting behavior

Our leo is very, very curious... it seems. She seems to be what appears to be friendly because whenever we go even near the tank she runs out of her coconut and approaches the glass and gives that look of curiosity (tilts head down and stares). The only reason we tend to think it could possibly be aggressiveness is because our only few attempts of actually picking her up after a week of acclimation ended with a hiss and attempt at a bite.

She tends to sit and just stare at us watching tv during the evening hours which seems quite the personality for a docile animal.

We put our hand flat on the floor to give her the chance to approach us now that it has been 2 weeks and had success once with her climbing up an arm and then back down. She doesn't do that often however, just tends to walk very sneaky like near the hand and then back into hiding. She is very active at all hours which is definitely a good sign I'm just more curious than anything as to what these behaviors may mean. Any insight?

No, not at all, just in case tho. Mine come to the front if their enclosures and stare me down if the think they've been slighted in the worm department. Sometimes all they really want is a little head rub, or picked up for a couple minutes. Geckos do have funny little personalities, some like attention, some don't. Some will sit with you for a bit, some see any time they can get out as an opportunity to escape. Some are nosy and watch your every move, some could care less what everyone is doing and don't want to be bothered. It sounds like yours is nosy and playful. You might want to be sure your hand doesn't smell like another animal or food when you put it in the tank.

It does take some time for them to get used to you handling them, be patient :)
