A few months back I got a Male Mack Snow which was originally purchased from the breeder as a regular CoDom (no hets). I wanted to start a Snow Bell project and breed him to a Bell Female to get some CoDom het Bells. I paired him with my Bell Hybino Female and she has since laid two cluches so far. The first clutch produced the Mack Snow het Bell I posted a pic of here http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=8615. The second egg needed some help so I got it started and out popped this!!

Turns out, the Mack snow I got was actually Het Bell already, that was a great surprise to find expected to at best see a Codom. Thanks for looking. :main_thumbsup:

OH, Ryan told me with my tremper/ mack trempers that the yellow in macks doesn't show until a few weeks after hatching.

I love my snowbell ;)

Congratulations!!

But it's a Bell not a Snow Bell. If it were a Snow Bell those yellow bands would be white. Either way it could very well be a Mack Pastel Bell, and looks GREAT!!

The bands were solid white when it hatched, the yellow has since come in, so I am not sure as well, Bell or Mack Pastel Bell? Either way, its good with me, if is indeed Bell I am just happy I have the possibility to hatch a Snow Bell this year, when I got the male I didn't think it was possible.

I looked back at the picture I took when it hatched and there was a yellowish tint as well, not as obvious as now but it was there, this pictures was taken today, it is 5 days old.

Usually Macks don't turn yellow that fast. It could be that you helped it out of the egg, it may have been a little too early for it to come out, and had not shown all it's color yet.

However I'd be happy with that surprise too!! :)

Could be, good thought Felicia, I'm gonna let this one grow up anyway and see what happens, but hopefully soon either way I will get the Snow Bell.
