I took in 2 rescued Leopard geckos. One with bad MBD the other with begining signs... Both were very neglected and left to die. Didnt get fed right, didnt get right heating, no nothing right. I really wanna help them and from the little i have done they're looking ALOT better... But i wanna do everything possible. I got the medicine from the vet to help them, getting a UVB light(10.0 designed for reptiles with MBD), and dusting all food(the one with small signs is the one that eats). I have to force feed the one thats really bad. She apparently was dropped by kids at some point and broke both her front legs and jaw. She walks akwardly and her jaw is a underbite. I know the MBD makes there legs and jaw bad(it has definatly) but had x-rays done and the bones were broken. The vet told me flat out that theres a 15/85 chance she lived or died. The other ones a 40/60 chance of living to dieing. I dont wanna just give up on them like the pervious owner have I wanna do all i can so any tips?? here are pics of them
Bothersome(what they decribed them as) is the spoted one and Troublesome is the hypo. First 2 pics of are what i took, there soaking.

Sounds like you are doing all you can, follow your vet's advice, provide a proper environment and diet, and hope for the best.

Good luck!!! I hope these guys pull through for you. Make sure you give them a dish of calcium to lick from at all times and feed them whatever you feed coated in calcium as well!

Just keep doing what you're doing and they should be fine. In MBD bones get really weak and break easily so I'm not surprised one of them has broken bones. Careful with force feeding because it can stress the geckos out. If it looks like it is stressing, leave it alone for a bit then continue feeding it.

since their probably suffering from malnutrition - i would mix a bit of multivitamin powder into their calcium probably in small ratios

10% multivitamin
90% calcium

its just an idea - im not sure it would be recommended BUT, they look very skinny and i dont think the multivitamin would do any harm and it may provide the extra boost to pull through

when they lick up some calcium theyll get some multivitamin too - may help them gain energy and regain appetite
