This is one of my mack snows 100% het Radar - She hatched out with what looked like solid black eyes - her clutchmate is also a MS het Radar... but her eyes are seemingly normal.

I photographed them just in case something funky happened... I was in feeding last night and saw this girls eyes - interesting, eh?

They almost look marbled... and there is no way she is a visual eclipse... unless I hit a major genetic jackpot! ;)

Tell me what your thoughts are... she is about 10 grams now.

photos: (some are a bit washed out - these were taken next to a large open window in natural lighting)

Looks alot like the marbled eyes that Matt of A&M has been producing (except his are all albinos so far as i know). Awesome find and a keeper for sure!

Very cool gecko Brittney!

Something with the Macks "reacts" with eye traits, MS Enigmas for example... I've hatched a handful of Macks with eyes like those from Blizzard w/eye trait x MS and MS het Blizzard x het Blizzard... In my case all, but one lost the extra pigment within a month or two... :(

I've had similar experiences too, but not with any blizzard crosses. I did hold onto an animal from last season that I was calling 'mystery gecko' - she is about 45 grams now and still has some funky eye pigmentation. She was from MSTA x MSTA (no raptor genes).

I hope the contrast continues to develop in this little ones eyes... they are very silvery... but I'm not counting on it. She'll be bred with my Radar (just produced last month!) next season... so if I hatch out a 'marble eye' Radar... we'll know why! ;) lol!

Very cool Brittney! What are the parents? I haven't seen any marbling in the eyes of macks het radar. mack enigmas het radar have some kind of marbling but it's quite common for all mack enigmas...

There is no Enigma blood going on whatsoever... which is why I thought this was so odd...

The pairing was a pure Eclipse x Super Snow Bell.

You know... now that I look at them again, they do have a slight bluish hue... weird!
