Viper Gecko Dilemma

Right now I'm trying to get my hands on a few viper geckos, and fortunately I've been able find two sources. One is a local reptile specialty store that has two eggs incubating, each baby will cost $40.

The other source is a breeder in a different state, and I would have to pay shipping unless I did a bulk order (but I really don't want more then two or three...), so then that brings up the possibility of splitting a bulk order. If I did the split order method, I'd only be paying $28 per gecko.

So I need some advice (and forgive me and please move this thread if it's in the wrong place)... Which would be wiser to do? The specialty store has its benefits because it's local, but the downside is the price.

Well personally I think your better deal is the out-of-state breeder, for one think of it this way. If the pet-store has 10 babies at $40 each, thats $400, if you get 10 geckos at $28 each. Thats $280 a substantial savings of $120. :)

Hannah, if you can wait until August, I am 99% sure there will be someone with Viper Geckos at the Portland Metro Reptile Expo.

Auuuugust? That's sooo far away!

;) Just kidding. Yeah, I'll probably do that. I completely forgot that I saw them at the last expo. Besides, everything is cheaper at an expo!

Plus I need to look over at the Paul Davis booth to look at some of those beautiful banded geckos, too.
