This is a LTC we have had for a few years now. We love these wonderful gems. Have produced a few in the past. two that hatched last year did not make it far. they had choked on the vermiculite incubation medium that had stuck to the shed they were trying to ingest. (side note has anyone else had this happen to their hatchlings of any species?)

the little thing had decided to shed pretty early I checked on the eggs one night and the next day in the evening and she had hatched and tried to shed before I could do anything.

Not vermaculite, but I've had the problem happen with soil and crested geckos as well as some other species. I now move all hatchlings to a "wet/moist chamber" until after the first shed.

I would have done the same thing but did not check quick enough. Thats one of the reasons I check my incubator like 3 times a day when I am expecting. That and I like finding freshly hatched little gifts:D
